Our grandmother was a designer who started in a small town in Texas; working hard and saving her money to buy her first small piece of land at age 18. She spent her life buying properties, fixing them up to be something extraordinary for family and friends to enjoy, and then selling them. From lake properties in Texas, to ranches with wild mustangs in Nevada, our parents and grandparents taught us to work hard, make a positive contribution to the world, and think creatively. Today the bulk of their business is creating, buying, or selling extraordinary environments for their clients… from design consultations and full house remodels, to selling a client’s current house and finding a dream home.
They are passionate about finding the perfect locations for their real estate clients. They know how important it is to find the right property at the right price, since they are investors themselves. It has to be a good investment, within the budget, in a great location, and a place that the clients could see themselves enjoying. In other words…it must be, or have the potential to be, Bitchin’!
Tessa Marie Hendrie is a Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Bitchin’ Digs. She has designed and remodeled projects all over the country, including overseeing several projects, with her sister/business partner Alyssa. Design projects include: large-scale neighborhoods (designing interiors & exteriors for over 70 buildings of townhomes and apartments on the East Coast), vacation rentals and homes all over the states.
Tessa studied interior design at California State University in San Diego and has been designing for years, starting with her parents’ house when she was only nine years old! She would makeover multiple rooms, every year throughout her childhood, until being hired as a professional designer in her late teens. Her projects now are on a much grander scale, but the childhood designs served as a fantastic foundation.
Tessa’s Real Estate Career began at Keller Williams, Pasadena. Tessa’s current focus through Bitchin’ Digs is to make the client’s vision come to life in a beautiful way. The exciting part for her is designing in various styles, based on the client’s tastes. And what’s better than hiring a Real Estate Team, you ask? Hiring a Realtor Team, who also happen to be a Design Team!

Alyssa Belle Hendrie is a Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Bitchin’ Digs. From vacation rentals in the desert, to beach houses on the West Coast, to neighborhoods on the East Coast, to remodels deep in the heart of Texas, Alyssa has overseen real estate design projects all over the states with her sister/business partner Tessa.
Alyssa spent three years as certified trainer for a luxury boutique hotel company and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, which lay the groundwork for the unique Bitchin’ Digs vacation rental experience.
Her background is in business and entrepreneurship in the corporate and political world. Alyssa is also a partner in the family business, Hendrie Communications, Inc., and master coach of Secrets for Exceptional Speaking™. Clients include numerous political figures and senior executives from a variety of organizations.
She has a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and was a political consultant for major candidates, organizations and non-profits. She worked closely with U.S. Senators, The White House, the California Secretary of State, Los Angeles City Councilmembers, State Senators, Assemblymembers, Congressional Members and several foundations.
From a young age, she’s been passionate about finding and developing spectacular properties all over the world and has been thrilled to see many of her design project dreams become reality.
